Animoto for Educators

Animoto is a cool site that syncs pictures and music into a very nicely done professional looking video. It’s super easy. I’ve used it before, but I’m even more excited about them now that they offer a free version for educators! Check it out here (and see some educational examples)!

(This could take the (original) “What I Did on My Summer Vacation” or “About Me” projects to a whole new level! Students will DEFINITELY be writing in my classroom, but I always thought those particular essays we were forced to write back in the day would have been SO much more appropriate in a picture format. Now, something like Animoto or Voicethread can take that idea and make it a reality! I’ll have to make one myself to see how “easy” it is, but I imagine it only consists of uploading pictures and music, things that don’t take a long time to do!) [...]
